Mirror Mirror

To bad this is putting people off with so many critics ready to be critical of it. I honestly don't get it.

The film has such a beautiful setting. Such amazing costume designs by the late Eiko Ishioka. Seriously, its hard to pass this movie up. Its directed by Tarsem Singh who's latest film was THE IMMORTALS.

Its certainly a comedy drama. Possibly, I haven't seen Julia Roberts this wicked, and she did it so divine. The story has the dwarfs who are quite the bandits and charming.

This retelling is just a little bit different than the one you might have grown up with. The ending has changed, but we should be happy with the new ending.

Lily Collins is quite adorable as Snow White. Oh so very Audrey Hepburn, too! She gives a tender side to Snow... as well... as being a woman of the people. I really felt the story showed how in these times, we do have these dictators with the very digressions of the queen. Having ravishing parties while the rest of the kingdom starves. Their is a certain truth in this version of the story. We just might not want to see it.

Armie Hammer at least gets a chance to play the prince. And I really can't think of anyone better. He shows his sense of humor too. And their are a few jokes about him shirtless.

The movie is PG. And really, there is a lot of fun to this movie. Be sure to wait for the credits. Such a charming way to end the film with a bit of Bollywood. I do love the song!

The movie has a lot of charm. And I left the movie smiling.

STORYLINE: An evil queen steals control of a kingdom and an exiled princess enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright.
