Breathe Carolina

This electronic based band is made up of Kyle Even and David Schmitt, who are from Denver Colorado.

When the band tours, they have live musicians that play with them, one being Joshua Andrew, who has his own project, The Spin Cycle. The live musicians add synth (Luis), keytar (Josh Andrew), sound guy, samples, and lights (Eric) and soon a drummer (Unknown). According to the band, the etymology of the band's name refers to a dream one of the group's members had "encouraging an older woman, Carolina, to calm down in the midst of stressful circumstances."

Kyle claims "Breathe Carolina just kind of happened. "We really didn't think about it much. I was playing in another band, and so was David, but we were falling out of those. We had a lot of fun writing together, so we thought, 'Let's just do this, and see what happens.'" In early 2007, they started a Myspace page, hoping to get 20 or so listeners. However, almost immediately they began building a name for themselves. On November 26, 2008, the duo made their first music video, with Director Robby Starbuck, for the song "Diamonds."
